Sustainable Houses in the UK

Sustainable houses in the UK are getting funding from the city council in Bradford. These eco friendly houses are being built with funding of 5.6 million pounds in Pavilion Gardens, West Bowling.

Of the 45 total properties being built, 12 of these will rank as the first in the Yorkshire region to meet the highest standards of the sustainability according to the government codes. Specifically, these homes will meet code level 6, which means that the houses will emit zero carbon dioxide. These homes user solar panels and a biomass boiler together with top notch insulation to reduce energy costs by up to 500 pounds annually. The other 33 homes in the development will be built to code level 4, and these will also be outfitted with solar technology and rainwater collection devices.
